How do I clean my mallets for percussion instruments through keyboard?

Some newer percussion instruments on the marimba advice: question of Peaches : How do I clean my yarn mallets for keyboard percussion instruments I'm in the pit section (or set before, if you want to be technical) in my high school band level, and we have recently added new racket son. The problem is, they are white, and they get dirty very quickly. Is it possible to clean or cord mallets son? If the method works well for cleaning your bass-drums? Also, what brand do you recommend mallets?
